MODERN SOULE

Soules are metal structures with steep ceilings which are designed and constructed based on specific technical calculations. This type of structure is being used in factories, warehouses, poultries, aircraft soules, repair shops, stores and gyms that require frames with large mouths. Due to the large dimensions of beams and columns, sheet beams must be used in soule profiles. Soules are different from other structures in design due to their mainly industrial use, especially because the frames are completely different in these structures and are steep and they have larger mouths compared to other structures. Because of large dimensions of beams and columns, the profiles available on the market cannot be used in order to implement these structures and we must manufacture specific profiles in this case that are called sheet beams.

  • Soule design is a special and very precise job to do. There are important factors involved in the design of soules that ignoring them can impose heavy costs to the manufacturer which questions the economic feasibility and may also lead to an inverse result and weakens strength and stability of the structure. The following information is beneficial to design a soule:
    1. The load of snow and wind force.
    2. Side elevation of the soule.
    3. Intended slope of the ceiling and calculating height of the crown.
    4. Length of lateral mouth.
    5. Length of longitudinal mouths and number of longitudinal frames considered.
    6. Should we consider a crane when designing the soule or not? (Calculating the dynamic load of crane).
    7. Intended covering for the ceiling.
    8. Seismic force.
    9. Considering the resistance of soil in intended area.

In order to increase the advantages of soules and also reduce their weaknesses, modern soules have been introduced in many shapes and varieties. This soule can be considered as an appropriate option for modern construction of soules due to reducing the shortcomings of steel soules including a decrease in the volume of welding operations.
